Typical Class Breakdown
In our classes for Juniors new to their martial art journey, our skilled martial art instructors ensure the entire 45 minute class is jam-packed with appropriately challenging drills and fun ways to refine their new skills. Expect the focus of the class to transition every 10-15 minutes, maximizing energy, interest, and student engagement while training. We keep a fun and positive environment in this class to further build your child’s confidence as we develop their character, mentality, and skills.
The warm-up and variety of exercises integrated into the class will physically challenge your child and help them build strength, coordination, and overall athletic ability. While under the watchful eye and clear directions of our martial art professionals, Junior students will frequently work partner drills with controlled technique and light contact so that they can develop the necessary skills of self-defense.
These self-defense drills also pave the way for conversations regarding stranger danger and how to stay safe against a stranger trying to abduct them or a bully trying to hurt them.
They say it takes a village to raise a child and we agree–the good news is, our martial art professionals are here to help set your child up with a successful future, inside and outside their martial art school!
